TIGER Radar Report

P. L. DYSON

Department of Physics, La Trobe University, Australia.

TIGER began operations last November and is now operating quite well. Several short-term problems have occurred, such as a data storage failure and power supply backup failure. These have been addressed and TIGER has operated for 83% of the available time. The main limitation currently affecting operations is the low quality of the telephone link and alternatives are being investigated. Funding continues to be a problem, particularly for support personnel. TIGER will be officially commissioned on site at Bruny Island on Monday 29th May.
